TCC Transitional Skills Programs
Our goal is to prepare you for independent living if you are a developmentally challenged
young adult. Each program is designed to prepare you for vocational training and job
readiness by helping you build your critical life skills and your academic skills.
Texas Workforce Commission: Vocational Rehabilitation
Texas Workforce Solutions Vocational Rehabilitation Services helps prepare you for
post-secondary education and employment opportunities. Services are based on eligibility
and need.
Tarrant County MHMR
MHMR provides community-based services if you have intellectual and developmental
disabilities (IDD), mental health conditions, and substance use disorders, as well
as babies and young children with developmental delays.
Lighthouse for the Blind
Lighthouse for the Blind of Fort Worth empowers you so you can lead a successful and
independent life.
Texas Department of Health & Human Services
Experienced staff and paid contractors can help you access services so you can:
- Live independently in their own homes or communities
- Prepare for and find jobs
- Provide medical equipment and assistive devices
- Determine eligibility for Supplemental Security Income
- Provide health care services to people who have disabilities who work
- Give family caregivers the tools to do their job
