Stay the Course
Stay the Course® is a free program that offers one-on-one guidance and coaching to eligible students working to finish their degree.
Stay the Course® is offered in partnership with Catholic Charities Fort Worth.
How will Stay the Course® help me?
Stay the Course® helps you overcome obstacles outside of the classroom so you can focus on completing your degree.
We offer:
- Personal Navigators: Your assigned Navigator will help guide you through college and any situations outside of college that might impact your ability to stay enrolled. Work with your Navigator to set goals and get support to complete your education.
- Financial assistance: Non-academic financial assistance may be available to students enrolled in Stay the Course® based on eligibility and program participation.
Am I eligible for Stay the Course®?
To be eligible, you must:
- Be 18+ years
- Be currently enrolled at TCC
- Not be dually-enrolled in high school
- Have a financial hardship that could impact your enrollment at TCC
- Meet minimum TSI scores, or be enrolled in a co-requisite class/developmental class equivalent
- Not have previously earned a college degree in the United States
- Not be on academic suspension II
How do I apply for Stay the Course®?
To apply for Stay the Course®,
- Create an account on the Stay the Course® website.
- Receive information about how to apply.
After you submit your application, someone from Stay the Course® will contact you to schedule a next-steps meeting.
