Paying Parking Fees
You must pay the applicable fees to reinstate driving and/or parking privileges. Fees are paid to the Business Services Office.
Failure to pay fees may result in a hold on your record, or stop you from registering for class, obtaining a transcript, or completing other business with the College.
Allow 3 business days for citation fees to be entered into the computer system.
Frequent or serious citations are referred to the vice president for student development services, or the vice president for teaching and learning services. These vice presidents can suspend or revoke driving privileges on campus. In severe cases, where a complete disregard for the law is proven, the vice president may dismiss you from the College.
Appealing Your Citation
As with municipal citations, once a fee is paid, you have pleaded "no contest" and the citation cannot be appealed.
To submit an appeal, you must:
- Fill out an appeal form (found at your campus's Police Department),
- Submit your appeal in writing,
- Send in the appeal during the semester when the citation was issued. (Appeals for a previous semester will not be accepted.)
Your appeal will be presented to the Traffic Appeals Board, which will decide if the citation fee is voided or retained. The TCCD Police Department or appeal board will notify you of the board’s decision.
