Parking Areas & Regulations
Designated Parking Areas
- White: Students
- Blue: Visitors
- Yellow: Faculty and staff
Vehicles may be parked only in those parking areas authorized for the vehicle, and only within the lines designating a parking space.
See additional maps of where you can park, including overflow parking for Trinity River Campus.
Motorcycle Parking
Motorcycles are required to park in areas designated for motorcycle parking.
Low Emissions and Hybrid Vehicles Parking
In keeping with TCC's commitment to sustainability, parking spaces for Low Emissions and Hybrid Vehicles have recently been installed at Southeast Campus.
To ensure that these spaces are used properly, vehicles parked in these areas must either be a hybrid or meet the LEED definition of a Low Emissions Vehicle:
"Vehicles that are either classified as Zero Emission Vehicles (ZEV) by the California Air Resources Board or have achieved a minimum green score of 40 on the American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy."
If you park in these spaces without meeting the guidelines, you will be fined.
Parking signs tailored for such vehicles read:

Low Emitting/Fuel Efficient
Vehicles Only
Additional Parking Regulations
Back-In Parking
Backing into a parking spot (or pulling through another spot which puts you in a back-in position) is a violation. This causes your vehicle to face oncoming traffic which can create a traffic hazard when you leave.
Disabled Vehicles
If your vehicle is disabled and must remain on campus for an unknown amount of time, you must notify Police Dispatch at 817-515-8911.
Traffic Accidents
All accidents are to be reported to the campus police at the time of the accident. Leave vehicles that have collided in their positions, so that the police can accomplish an accurate accident investigation.
Other Regulations
- Privately owned vehicles are not permitted to drive on the inner-campus service roads without permission from the TCCD Police Department.
- Parking on the grass is prohibited.
- Parking trailers or boats on campus is prohibited without permission from the TCCD Police Department.
- Vehicles left continuously on campus for a week or longer are considered abandoned. Abandoned vehicles will be towed at the owner's expense. If you have problems with your vehicle, contact the TCCD Police Department.
- Pedestrians must be cautious in crosswalks. Look for approaching traffic and cross when safe. Drivers must yield the right-of-way to pedestrians in crosswalks.
- Any vehicle driven or parked on a TCC campus must have a valid Texas Vehicle Inspection sticker displayed. If a vehicle is not registered in Texas, or it not registered in a county that requires an emissions test, an emissions test must be completed in order to drive or park on a TCC campus.
