Each campus provides a testing center and offers a variety of tests.

New-to-College and Placement Tests
If you're new to college or just new to TCC, our placement tests can help determine which classes are best for you to begin your college career. Before you schedule your test, you must meet with a success coach.
Earn College Credit Tests
Save tuition money and earn college credit by successfully passing one of the following tests.
Program Admissions Tests
Some of our programs require additional testing for admissions.
- HESI A2 Admission Assessment
- TABE
- GED® (Not offered at campus testing centers; only available through the Professional Certification Testing Center at Northwest Campus)
Class Exams
Class exams and make-up exams are provided by your instructor or an academic department.
If you're currently enrolled in a math class, contact the math center at your campus to take an exam for your class.
Before You Take a Test
Whether you are testing for TCC or another institution, you must:
- Complete a TCC Application for Admission
- Have a TCC ID number
- Visit with a career advisor to receive a test referral
During Your Test
Pencils and scratch paper will be provided during your test.
When you visit your campus's testing center, you must:
- Bring a government-issued photo ID. The ID must not be expired and should have your
updated name and photo.
Examples: driver's license, passport, military ID or high school ID - Turn off and store all electronic devices outside the testing room. This includes cell phones, smart watches, Bluetooth headphones.

To promote student success, Testing Services at Tarrant County College seeks to provide comprehensive, quality testing services in a calm, secure environment. We strive to give prompt, courteous and knowledgeable service to all students and to promote honesty, integrity and fairness in all testing procedures. Testing Services subscribes to the mission and standards outlined by the National College Testing Association (NCTA).
