*Tarrant County College District was awarded a Governor's Summer Merit Program grant for Summer 2024. The Governor's Summer Merit Program provides youth interested in a STEM field to enroll in a camp that focuses on science, technology, engineering or math (STEM).
Camp Highlights
Our camp will focus on Environmental Technology, with an emphasis on safety, sustainability, energy and climate change. The objective will be to develop youth EcoLeaders who will acquire the skills and knowledge to protect and sustain our environment.
You will participate in activities that will explore wind, solar, hydroelectricity, and an environmental engineering oil spill lab. The camp will be taking a tour of the Arlington Landfill to gain more understanding of recycling, safety standards for dumping toxic substances and the environmental impact of garbage disposal.
