TCC Award

After successfully completing the course requirements, you will receive a TCC Institutional Award.

AAPC Certification

After successfully completing the program, you may schedule and directly pay for the Certified Professional Coder (CPC) exam through the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC).

  • Application deadline:  May 30, 2024
  • Classes begin:  June 25, 2024
  • Program duration:  June 25, 2024–May 15, 2025

How to Apply

  1. New TCC students only: Complete a CE enrollment form. If you have not previously attended TCC, contact the program director or career advisor for more information.
  2. Download, print, and fill out the application when it is available
  3. Gather the required supporting documents:
  4. Complete and pass the TSI—if you are not able to provide an official or unofficial transcript(s) for exemption review)
  5. Email your completed application and supporting documents to TR.HealthCareAdvising@tccd.edu.
  6. Register for class
    • Once you have been accepted, you may register for Medical Coder courses.
