Program Description

After successfully completing our Liquid Penetrant / Magnetic Particle Technician program, you will understand the basic theory and be able to apply nondestructive penetrant and magnetic particle testing techniques.

The course meets the required ASNT SNT-TC-1A and NAS 410 hours.

General topics covered include:

  • Proper test technique
  • Effective combination of techniques & interpretation
  • Evaluation of test results
  • Safety regulations

Liquid Penetrant topics include:

  • Liquid penetrant processing & testing equipment
  • Selection of appropriate liquid penetrant testing methods
  • Inspection & evaluation of indications

Magnetic Particle topics include:

  • Characteristics of magnetic fields
  • Magnetic particle testing processes & equipment
  • Evaluation techniques
