What is a Center of Academic Excellence?

NSA's National Cryptologic School manges the National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity (NCAE-C) program.

Through the NCAE-C program, NSA partners with community colleges, colleges, and universities to cultivate the skilled cybersecurity professionals we need to meet future national security challenges.

Federal partners in the program include the:

  • Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA)
  • Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)
  • National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)/National Initiative on Cybersecurity Education (NICE)
  • National Science Foundation (NSF)
  • Department of Defense Office of the Chief Information Officer (DoD-CIO)
  • U.S. Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM)
