How to Apply to Our Paramedic Programs

Application Timeline

Fall 2025 Admission (B-shift based class)

  • March 13–June 5, 2025: Application for B-shift class admission available
  • June 5, 2025: Application deadline for B-shift class admission
    • No late applications accepted
  • June: Applicants notified of their status

Fall 2025 Admission (Evening class)

  • March 13–June 12, 2025: Application for Evening class admission available
  • June 12, 2025: Application deadline for Evening class admission
    • No late applications accepted
  • June: Applicants notified of their status

Follow these steps to apply to our Paramedic Programs

Step 1: Apply to TCC

Apply online with ApplyTCC (use Firefox or Chrome for the best experience)

Once you are accepted as a student at TCC, you will get a TCC Student ID number.

You need a TCC Student ID number for your application to our Paramedic Programs.

Step 2: Make sure you are eligible to apply

Step 3: Get 2 sets of current official transcripts

You will need to submit your official college transcripts with your application to the Health Sciences Department.

  • Have 1 official transcript sent to the TCC Admissions and Registrar Office: Submit Your Transcript
  • Have 1 official transcript in electronic format to upload when you complete the online application

If you have not attended college or if you will have fewer than 12 college semester hours by the application deadline, you will need to submit your official high school transcript(s).

International Students

Contact International Student Admissions & Compliance (817-515-1570) at least 8 weeks before the application deadline to schedule an appointment if you have international transcripts.

Step 4: Complete the EMS sponsorship form, if applicable

Download, fill out, print, and have you employer sign the TCC EMS Provider or DSHS-Recognized First Responder Organization form (PDF)Listen

Step 5: Submit your application by the deadline

During an Application Period

Fill out and submit your online application when it is available.

Is my application complete?

Upon submission, your complete application must include the following supporting documents:

  • 2 official transcripts from all colleges—including TCC—you have attended:
    • 1 official transcript sent to the TCC Admissions and Registrar Office: Submit Your Transcript
    • 1 official transcript in electronic format uploaded to your online application
  • Copy of Texas EMT Certificate
  • EMS Sponsorship form—signed by employer—if applicable
  • Proof of Hepatitis B vaccination (3-shot series)

No late applications will be accepted.

Step 6: Attend Top Applicant Meeting—mandatory if you are invited

If you are invited and fail to attend, you will be removed from the Paramedic Class selection process.

A-Shift Class

Spring 2025 Admission Top Applicant Meeting
  • Date (tentative): Monday, November 4, 2024
  • Time: 1–3 p.m.
  • Place: TCC EMS Satellite Campus at the Fort Worth Bob Bolen Public Safety Complex
