Program Description
Our Construction Management Technology A.A.S. is a student-centered degree program that prepares students to be leaders in the construction industry. Students who pursue this degree gain a practical study experience. They learn skills and concepts that allow them to add value in a construction company immediately upon graduation.
The program is comprised of 60 credit hours, which include 39 credits of approved course work inside the CMT Program and 21 credit hours of required general education coursework. The faculty member for each course approves the coursework and projects in construction topics that we teach in the program. This combination of coursework exposes students to both fundamental concepts and advanced applications of construction principles including:
- Materials and methods
- Sustainability
- Estimating
- Scheduling
- Surveying
- Safety
- Mechanical, electrical & plumbing systems (MEP)
- Project controls
- Structures
- Building information modeling (BIM)
- Ethics in construction and legal issues
