Our Mission
To graduate confident, knowledgeable sterile processing technicians with high ethical and professional standards who are well versed in sterilization techniques through didactic, laboratory, and clinical experiences that lead to gainful employment upon graduation.
How Our Program Works
Applicants
The number of applicants we accept is based upon clinical availability.
Time Commitment
You need to commit to full-time schedule for 2 semesters (16 credit hours).
Schedule
CSP is a blended delivery program, which means you will take classes online and on campus.
We teach each didactic class over a 5-week period. Labs are tentatively scheduled for Monday evenings from 5–9 p.m.
For more details, contact the program director.
Clinics
Clinics are arranged with the program director. Our CSP Program requires a total of 240 clinic hours.
Our program director will create and coordinate schedules based upon availability.
Are you currently a hospital employee?
On your application, tell us the hospital where you are currently employed. In-house clinical rotations may be possible, but you must have pre-approval from the department and the program director.
If your hospital has agreed to host you as a central sterile processing student, confirmation of a current affiliation agreement is required.
For more details, please talk to the program director.
Grades
You must earn a minimum grade of “C” (75 percent) to pass.
You will receive an "F" for any grade earned that is below 75 percent.
Cost
Approximately cost—including books, uniforms, and other program-related expenses: $1,750
