Physics / Astronomy

Quick Facts

Summary

Our courses are designed to give you an understanding of how and why the physical world works and to apply that knowledge to solving real world technical problems.

We offer a variety of physics courses that prepare both science majors and non-science majors for transfer to universities or entrance in professional schools.

Physics is a basic physical science dealing with:

  • Mechanics—force, energy and motion
  • Sound
  • Heat
  • Light
  • Electricity
  • Atomic structure

Astronomy is a branch of physics that studies celestial bodies and the universe as a whole.

Reasons to Study Physics / Astronomy
