TCC partners with employers in Dallas/Fort Worth to help them develop a skilled workforce for their business.

As an apprentice, you'll be hired to work full-time at an employer with whom TCC has a partnership.

You will receive on-the-job training from your employer while also taking classes at TCC that are related to your new position.

Upon completion of the apprenticeship, you will walk away with a nationally recognized credential from the Department of Labor, a certificate or degree from TCC, and the skills to flourish in your new career.

What's the difference between an apprenticeship and an internship?

Apprenticeships Internships

Have a structured training plan, with a focus on mastering specific skills an employer needs to fill an occupation within their organization. Aren't structured and often focus on entry-level general work experience.
Receive individualized training with an experienced mentor who walks you through their entire process. Do not always include mentorship.
Paid experiences that often lead to full-time employment. Often unpaid and may not lead to a full-time job.
Lead to an industry-recognized credential. Typically do not lead to a credential.
Leads to college credit and potentially a debt-free college degree. May lead to college credit.
