Developmental Education Accountability Measures
The overarching goal for developmental education is to help students so they may become college ready, meaning to enroll in credit-bearing courses and successfully complete a certificate and/or degree. Developmental courses, also known as remedial education, provide the foundation of basic skills in math, reading, and writing for students who enter higher education with a deficit in one, two, or all three areas.
These reports focus primarily on success of students who successfully complete a college-level course in math, reading and writing, as well as fall-to-fall persistence.
THECB's website provides cohort based reports for Texas public two-year and four-year institutions.
