Chancellor
Welcome to Tarrant County College, a comprehensive two-year college providing affordable access to quality education. We have six campuses across Tarrant County and online, with programs including university transfer, workforce education, customized training, developmental courses and community enrichment. TCC has grown to be the seventh largest institution of higher education in Texas, and among the top 20 largest colleges or universities in the nation.
I am honored to serve as TCC's Chancellor, particularly since I began my journey here as a student. In all my years with the College—as a professor, campus president and executive vice chancellor/provost, among other roles—this is the most exciting time I've experienced. Remarkable things are happening at TCC.
The College has gone through a great deal of change recently. While the pandemic was a major driver, we also simply recognize that the ways of the past aren't necessarily the best ways to recruit 21st-century learners, encourage their persistence and success, and grow the pipeline of skilled workers. The future belongs to postsecondary institutions that define innovative practices for serving our students and the entire community.
I'm proud to say that our outstanding faculty and staff are doing that work, reimaging programming, how we engage students in their learning and the support we provide as they achieve their goals. And we have our own goals:
- Function as One College, streamlining services and enhancing uniformity across the District
- Be Student Ready, meeting students where they are and giving them the very best tools and resources
- Serve the Community, aligning our offerings with the current needs of Tarrant County
Above all, we want everyone to know they belong at TCC. Here, success really is within reach.
Sincerely,
Elva LeBlanc, Ph.D.
Chancellor
