Getting Started at TCC

Our steps walk you through the process, from applying for admission to starting your classes at TCC.

Before you fill out your application, you will need to have the following information ready:

  • Your complete first and last name (no nicknames)
  • Valid date of birth
  • Active email address
  • Social security number (recommended, but not required)

How do I apply to TCC?

Personal enrichment classes offered through Lifestyle and Community Learning (LCL) do not require an admissions application. Learn how to register for LCL classes.

If you are taking a Continuing Education class, complete and submit an application for admission.

Apply now with ApplyTCC.

In your profile under Enrollment Information, choose Continuing Education in the Academic Level drop-down box. When ready to apply, choose the Start a New Non-Credit Application option.

What entry term should I choose when I’m applying?

When prompted to select an entry term, choose the earliest term you might start classes.

Your options are:

  • Continuing Education Fall (2024QF-CE Fall)
  • Continuing Education Spring (2025QS-CE Spring)
  • Continuing Education Summer (2025QU-CE Summer)

When will I know if I'm accepted to TCC?

Check your personal email within 24–48 hours.

You will receive emails about your acceptance, instructions on activating your student email, submitting any supporting documentation, and next steps.

Grants and Scholarships

If you're taking continuing education (CE) workforce courses, you may be eligible for the Texas Public Educational Grant (TPEG) or scholarships.

Apply as early as possible for the best chance of receiving funds.

Annual Security Report

Tarrant County College Police Department prepares the Annual Security Report in compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Crime Statistics Act. The report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning reported Clery Act crimes that occurred on campus, in certain non-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by the Tarrant County College District, and on public property within or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus. The Annual Security Report also includes institutional policies concerning campus security, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and policies regarding alcohol, drug and tobacco use.
