Program Description

Our Fire/Rescue Training Program provides continuing education for certified firefighters and certifications through the Texas Commission on Fire Protection.

Customized Training

We customize instruction to meet your volunteer or paid department’s needs.

Training opportunities include:

  • Live operations:
    • Fire
    • Swift water
    • Technical rescue
  • Fire officer training
  • Fire instructor training

Admission Requirements

You must hold a state firefighter certification to enroll in one of our fire service training courses. Each course may also require additional prerequisites.

How to Apply

  1. Pick the course you want to take from the Technical Rescue Training schedule or the State Certification Courses schedule.
  2. Select the link under Request a Seat in a Class at the bottom of the page to fill out the reservation request form.
    • Allow up to 3–5 business days for confirmation of seat availability
  3. Look for an email with registration instructions 4–5 weeks before the first day of class once you have reserved seats.
