Program Description
Computer Network & Cybersecurity Technician (CNCT) is an intensive preparatory program designed to prepare you to earn baseline IT credentials.
You will be ready to work in tech support and entry-level cybersecurity.
You will be able to:
- Configure, troubleshoot, and support devices and their operating systems
- Design and implement functional networks
- Demonstrate basic security skills
- Implement basic data backup and recovery processes
- Configure wireless security settings

Do I need computer experience?
No, you do not need to have computer knowledge or experience.
Our courses are specifically structured to start by establishing a strong foundation in the basics. After you master the basics, you build on those skill sets to reach the technician level.

We teach our CNCT Program in a hybrid format—combining online and face-to-face activities.
This flexibility makes it easier to balance class work with your schedule.
Continue Your Studies
You can apply the credits you earn in this CNCT program toward one of our credit certificates or degrees.

What are the CompTIA Certification exams?
Certification exams are tests where you demonstrate that you mastered the skills associated with each of the certificates.
Pass the certification exam, and you are awarded the certificate.
Where do I take the CompTIA certification exams?
- TCC Professional Certification Testing Center on Northwest Campus.
- Pearson VUE facility worldwide
How long are the certification exams?
90 minutes & no more than 90 questions
Are the certification exams hands-on?
No.
You will take the exams on a computer at the TCC Professional Certification Testing Center or a Pearson VUE location.
