Follow these steps to apply to Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)
Step 1: Apply to TCC
Apply online with ApplyTCC (use Firefox or Chrome for the best experience)

Once you are accepted as a student at TCC, you will get a TCC Student ID number.
You need a TCC Student ID number for your application to RDA.
Step 2: Attend an information session
About the Session
Attending an information session is an admissions requirement.
All information sessions will be held in-person.
Application Instructions
When you attend an in-person information session, we will give you materials and forms that you will need for your RDA application.
We will also give the instructions for completing and submitting your RDA application.

Step 3: Make sure you are eligible to apply
What are the requirements?
For details, go to Selective Admission: RDA
Be sure you:
- Have a high school diploma or GED Equivalency
- Are 18 years of age or older by your spring semester—to attend the clinical portion of the program
Step 4: Pass a criminal background check and drug screen
One of the admission requirements is to pass a national background check and drug screen.
The background check and drug screen will be repeated 30 days prior to clinical site placement in the spring semester.
Step 5: Submit your admission documents by the deadline

When you attend an in-person information session, you receive the materials and forms that you need for your RDA application.

What admission documents do I need?
Your completed and signed admission documents must include your:
- Student Information Form
- Background & Drug Screen Requirement Form
- Waiver of Liability Form
- Copy of high school diploma or GED equivalency
- Dental Assisting Occupational Outlook Summary Form
